GLEP applauds the State Senate for passing HCR 11, a resolution endorsing the continued implementation of the Common Core State Standards for Michigan students.
“We appreciate the work of the State Senate in supporting the Common Core State Standards, which we believe will make our students more competitive in a global economy,” said Gary Naeyaert, executive director at GLEP.
Michigan is one of 45 states that have adopted the rigorous, internationally-benchmarked standards.
The House of Representatives had previously passed HCR 11 on a vote of 85-21.
